While Lucinda Rogers sketched the view out her window, she was interviewed by Danny Gregory on #DrawWithMe. (The youtube clip is live and there are audio issues at the beginning.) She first used ink with a brush to establish bold lines and then filled in the detail with a dip pen and ink. A touch of color was added with pencil.
I sketched the view out my window, also. Here the tree service was taking down a dead tree in the front yard. The man in the bucket was so high up that he doesn't appear in the picture but the limb that he was dropping does.
