Instead of sketching in the kitchen with Kay, we went to Nolde Forest to sketch birds during the Winter Feeder Watch but as you can see from the "bird" list, the squirrels were the stars of the show.
Sketched with graphite and when the squirrels returned to a similar pose, sketched over the graphite with my Lamy pen. Added watercolor later. Jane Davenport Canvas Journal.
I did sketch one chickadee. They do flit in and out so quickly!
