edm #114 draw something ugly that you love. I bought these at a sale, they're old, chipped, with worn-off paint. Don't know where or when they were made. I think they are glazed clay. The little one (there's actually 2 of them) is a salt shaker. I think the large one is a sugar bowl. Watercolor pencils, wet-on-wet. Oh yeah, if anyone out there knows anything about these, or has ever seen anything like them, please let me know! Thanks.

I don't know anything about them, but I don't think they're ugly at all. The renderings are really nice, and as for the pots themselves, I think they're charming! nancy
ReplyDeleteI've never seen anything of that kind but they made me laugh !I quite understand you love them. Nice sketch.
ReplyDeleteI can honestly say I've never seen anything like them :P Nice sketch though!
ReplyDeleteI don't know about the pots, but I'm sure there are people who collect such items.
ReplyDeleteI like your wet on wet drawings. I love using colored pencils, but haven't gotten the hang of using the watercolor pencils. I like your drawings using them, and I might give them another try.
Nice work.
Fun pots and fun drawing, I like your choice of cropping
ReplyDeleteLOL! They are so ugly that they're cute too! Great sketch.
ReplyDeleteWonderful sketch! So good in fact, that I was able to find some online. They reminded me of the character Sambo, so I started with that.
